About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Assistant to join our Pre-Assessment team at Wansbeck General Hospital. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Pre-Assessment nurse specialists and consultants to deliver high standards of direct patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist and support the Pre-Assessment nurse specialists and consultants in delivering high standards of direct patient care.
  • Perform ECG, venepuncture, swabs, and observations for patients undergoing elective surgery under GA.
  • Provide assistance and support to patients, carers, and the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Maintain high clinical standards and contribute to a clean and safe department environment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of care and related procedures, clinical observations, and relevant legislation.
  • Completion of a competency-based programme or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Level 3 qualification in a healthcare-related subject or a portfolio of equivalent demonstrable experience.
