Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Noninvasive Transcranial Ultrasound Neuromodulation

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join our team at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Robin Cleveland to investigate the effects of low-intensity ultrasound on neural oscillations in patients with Parkinson's Disease.
About the ProjectThe project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of targeting specific locations in the brain using ultrasound and modifying neural oscillations. This will be achieved by collaborating with Clinical Neurosciences at Oxford University and the Department of Brain Sciences at Imperial College. The study will involve working with patients who have already been implanted with devices that can monitor neural oscillations, allowing us to directly observe the effects of ultrasound on brain activity.
Requirements- PhD/DPhil in experimental psychology, motor neuroscience, neurophysiology, biomedical engineering, or a relevant area of another scientific discipline
- Relevant experience in developing, carrying out, and analyzing data for neurostimulation trials, ideally using ultrasound
- Excellent communication skills to interact with participants in a sensitive and respectful manner
- Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of researchers
