As a Children\u0027s Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to children and young people, ensuring their welfare and safety, and promoting the best possible outcomes.

We are looking for experienced Support Workers with a background in children or young people\u0027s care, as well as individuals with transferable skills and a passion for making a positive impact on young lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide love and direction to our children and young people, taking on the role of a corporate parent.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and young people who have had complex early lives.
  • Take immediate action when the welfare or safety of children or young people is at risk.
  • Advocate for the wishes, thoughts, and feelings of our children and young people.
  • Deliver high-quality support and guidance to promote the best outcomes possible for children in placement.
  • Support the Homes Manager to exceed expectations at Inspection and Regulation 44 visits.
  • Be flexible and willing to engage in activities with children and young people, as well as attend appointments.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare, or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this within the statutory timescales.
  • Ability to engage with children and teenagers who have complex emotional needs.
  • 2 years\u0027 experience in Social Care is desirable.
  • Ability to work the required shift patterns, including weekends, overnights, late shifts, and bank holidays.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop and advance to a Grade 6 once all progression criteria have been met.
