The PIG in the Cotswolds is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to lead our hotel kitchen team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and inspiring team, working closely with our Head Chef to manage the kitchen and drive excellence in food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confidently manage the overall running of the kitchen, ensuring seamless service and high-quality food.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, sourcing the best ingredients for our menu.
  • Support the Head Chef in managing food costs and budgeting, ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our guests.
  • Work closely with our Kitchen Gardeners to utilize our kitchen garden produce, showcasing the best of seasonal ingredients.
  • Plan and manage kitchen team rotas, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling, and dietary requirements, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Encourage development and support the kitchen team with their skills, helping them grow and succeed.
  • Take an active role in leading, teaching, and inspiring our kitchen apprentices, shaping the next generation of culinary talent.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a similar establishment, with a proven track record of success.
