Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team at Jordan's Dorset Ryvita. As part of the ABF group, we have ambitious plans for growth over the next 5 years and require someone with the drive and passion to help us achieve our goals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out timely, professional repairs and planned maintenance on all site equipment. They will also take a lead in health and safety and provide technical assistance to the Operating and Hygiene teams.
Key Responsibilities- Work safely by applying sound engineering principles and safe systems of work, including isolations, permit to work, and risk assessment.
- Work as a flexible and motivated member of the engineering team, communicating effectively with colleagues at shift handovers.
- Provide reactive support, planned maintenance, and continuous improvements on equipment throughout the factories at the Poole Site.
- Update the Engineering maintenance system to provide feedback on completed tasks, ensuring equipment histories and costs are kept up to date.
- Maintain all aspects of the plant relating to M&E, control, and automation to ensure reliability, integrity, and efficiency.
- Ensure engineering spares are accurately booked out on shift to maintain correct stock levels.
- Follow all Quality systems and procedures to ensure our products meet food safety, legal, and customer requirements.
- Be a member of the site Fire Evacuation Team.
- Commitment to Safety, Quality, Cost, Time, and the environment.
- Nationally recognised electrical qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 diploma).
- Nationally recognised qualification in mechanical discipline (NVQ L2 / City & Guilds) (preferable).
