About the Role

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Surgical Care Practitioner (TSCP). As a TSCP, you will work under the direct or indirect supervision of a Consultant Surgeon, providing high-quality care and making critical clinical decisions based on advanced clinical skills assessment.

You will be responsible for managing patient care within the surgical specialty, enhancing patient outcomes and improving patient flow in line with local, regional, and national standards. This role requires a strong degree from a UK university and a completed portfolio of professional development that evidences an advanced level of clinical practice in line with NHSE's framework for SCP.

We are looking for an individual with experience working clinically in surgery, as well as service development and implementation skills. The successful candidate will support the trust's management teams with ongoing feedback and assist with effective patient flow through the trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage patient care within the surgical specialty, ensuring high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.
  • Provide surgical assistance as required.
  • Undertake comprehensive physical and other assessments, analyzing differential diagnoses and deciding on treatment based on clinical findings.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 per annum.
