About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Inn at Dromoland. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the successful operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Train and guide junior chefs and kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
Requirements
  • 3rd level qualification in culinary arts or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a similar establishment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
