About the Job

This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on projects driving insights that support precision medicine within an Oncology-focused setting. You will have the chance to develop, validate, and implement bioinformatics pipelines for clinical and research purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex genomic datasets to identify clinically relevant insights.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate genomic insights into patient care.
  • Evaluating and optimizing tools, algorithms, and workflows for genomic data analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines in all aspects of bioinformatics work.
  • Providing bioinformatics expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders.
RequirementsEducation and Technical Skills
  • MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
  • Experience with bioinformatics tools and pipelines (e.g., Nextflow, GATK, or similar).
Clinical Genomics Expertise
  • Strong understanding of human genetics and genomics, particularly in clinical contexts.
  • Experience with variant annotation, prioritization, and interpretation.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
