About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End Developer to join our Digital Channels team at easyJet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our front-end applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

As a Senior Front End Developer, you will work closely with our architecture, business analysts, developers, and delivery managers to deliver new products and services that meet the needs of our projects and programmes. You will have the opportunity to work with our other digital developers and with other leading agencies, driving innovation and excellence in our technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality front-end applications, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with technical architecture and peers to identify and agree technical standards, frameworks, tooling, and patterns for applications.
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, and perform code reviews to ensure consistency and conformity to agreed standards.
  • Actively contribute to agile ceremonies and the maturing of our dev-sec-ops capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and support within the team, including mentoring, coaching, and guiding more junior members.
Requirements
  • Solid experience with React, Typescript, Node.js, and ideally Next.js.
  • Strong experience with design systems (CSS, SASS).
  • Strong experience and interest in TDD, interaction testing, Storybook, Chromatic, and automated testing.
  • Experience or strong interest in microservices and micro-frontends.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Elastic Beanstalk, Terraform, ECS/EKS, auto scaling, etc).
  • Strong interest in DevOps delivery practices, feature toggles, CI/CD, automated testing, etc.
