Job Title: Roofing Systems Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Roofing Systems Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a key member of our construction recruitment consultancy, you will be responsible for providing expert quantity surveying services to our clients in the roofing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quantity surveying services for various roofing systems, including bitumen membrane systems, single ply systems, hot melt waterproofing, cold applied liquid systems, insulation, green roofs, roof slating, roof tiling, and leadwork.
- Keep up-to-date with site progress, recording progress made, and transferring information onto monthly payment applications.
- Update any changes to the agreed contract scope.
- Keep track of monthly application figures and ensure relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints.
- Review labour schedules and compare to actual progress on site.
- Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters.
- Review project drawings, comparing construction drawings to tender drawings, documenting any changes.
- Develop and foster working relationships with clients, client reps, and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Must have 3 years of quantity surveying experience within the UK roofing market sector.
- In-depth understanding of subcontracts and schedule of rates (SOR's).
- Must hold a full UK driving license.
- Must have a good understanding of technical drawings.
- Ideally will have a quantity surveying degree.
- Ideally will have a CSCS card, however not essential.
- High levels of organisation.
- Enthusiastic, team player, who works well individually also.
