Job Overview

Opus People Solutions, on behalf of Walsall Council, are seeking a qualified social worker to join their Duty and Assessment Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, conducting risk assessments, and developing safety plans.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assessing Needs: Screen and assess the needs of children and families referred to the service.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans for children at risk.
  • Crisis Management: Respond to urgent cases and manage crisis situations as the first point of contact.
  • Care Planning: Manage a caseload, develop care plans, and review cases regularly.
  • Collaboration: Work with health, education, and other professionals to support families.
