About the Role

Carnival UK, overseeing the operations of P&O Cruises and Cunard Line, seeks a Fleet Facilities Director to ensure top quality services for guests, crew, and operations.

The role encompasses planning, executing, and overseeing the asset management of onboard facilities, focusing on guest-facing spaces and crew areas to maintain high standards aligned with brand goals.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining hotel conditions to brand and guest expectations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Identifying resource requirements and reporting condition status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establishing communication channels with onboard teams and resolving conflicts.
  • Collaborating with brand teams and stakeholders to develop and execute maintenance plans.
  • Managing budgets, overseeing finances, and initiating tender processes for hotel projects.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Expert knowledge of fixed and loose furniture, carpets, and soft furnishings.
  • Proven experience working in a hotel operational environment.
  • Experience in managing projects with a budget responsibility up to £10M.
  • Basic understanding of the maritime structure and implications of Flag State, USCG, and IMO rules and regulations.
  • Commercial awareness and control of budgets.
  • Ability to use computer-based maintenance databases.
  • Logical and lateral thinking, able to solve problems considering business needs and statutory requirements.
  • IT literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and purchasing systems).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
