Job Title: Music Department Leader

At The GDST, we are seeking an exceptional Music Department Leader to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of our Music Department, both academically and from an enrichment perspective. You will lead and develop the extensive enrichment provision and performance calendar across the school year, ensuring that Music is central to the life of the School.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Music Department, developing and implementing a strategic plan to enhance the academic and enrichment provision.
- Develop and maintain a diverse range of enrichment activities, including Chamber Choir, Senior Choir, String Ensemble, Piano Trios, Flute Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Samba Band.
- Provide and facilitate opportunities for girls to participate in the musical life of the school, developing elite musicians and a passion for Music.
- Work closely with visiting music teaching staff to ensure their involvement in the wider musical life of the school.

Requirements:
- A proven track-record in leadership, with a genuine passion for Music and a firm ambition to ensure that Music is central to the life of the School.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
- A strong commitment to the values of The GDST, including diversity, inclusion, and real change.
