MRI Supervisor

As an MRI Supervisor at Care New England Health System, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Diagnostic Imaging team. This position requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills to manage the modality, ensuring exceptional patient care and maintaining accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Team Management: Schedule, direct, and assign employee work activities in the department. Monitor and evaluate staff performance to maintain high-quality standards.
- Maintenance and Operations: Maintain equipment in the department, coordinate reports with physicists as necessary, and ensure timely communication with radiologists, physicians, and hospital staff regarding patient examinations.
- Patient Care and Safety: Perform duties of a technologist in the modality, including preparation of IVs, venipunctures, oral contrast administration, and assisting with biopsies. Provide MR safety to patients, staff, and yourself.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments by attending seminars and in-services, and maintain knowledge of specialty requirements.
- Supply Management and Student Preceptorship: Order and maintain supplies required in the department and act as a student preceptor.
An associate degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. A minimum of three years of job-related experience or equivalent is necessary. ARRT certification in MRI and CPR certification are also mandatory.
