About the Role

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Navy Command Officer within the Devonport Portfolio Office. This role is a key component of the Defence business change team, responsible for analysing user and business needs to ensure outcomes align with the One Devonport Vision and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Change Coordination: The successful candidate will support the Portfolio Business Change Team in coordinating and evaluating requirements against the present and end states, applying constructive challenge and acting as a critical friend to achieve solutions that meet business objectives.
  2. Change Strategy and Planning: Responsible for maintaining the Portfolio Change Strategy and Plan and change control framework in collaboration with key MOD stakeholders and industry partners.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Engages MOD and industry partner directing or sponsoring organisations to identify business change programmes/projects, and identifies, qualifies, and updates business readiness criteria across the Devonport enterprise.

Person Specification

A confident leader with a track record of successfully managing change and collaborating with others to find solutions. Strong relationship management expertise, able to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to staff and submit high-quality written work.
