About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Officer to join our team at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties and ensuring the provision of comprehensive housing services.

Your duties will include handling tenant inquiries and complaints, coordinating maintenance and repairs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

You will liaise with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain a high standard of living conditions and resolve any issues promptly.

Additionally, you will play a key role in tenancy management by overseeing rent collections, addressing anti-social behavior, and supporting tenants with their housing needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of properties and provide comprehensive housing services
  • Handle tenant inquiries and complaints, and coordinate maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies
  • Liaise with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards of living conditions
  • Oversee rent collections, address anti-social behavior, and support tenants with their housing needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Housing Officer
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of housing regulations and policies
