About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Refocus Day Service in Salisbury. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the individuals we support have a meaningful day, doing the things they love.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the independence of individuals we support
  • Support a full range of daily activities, including cleaning, cooking, and days out
  • Arrange activities in the local community
  • Develop life skills and personal interests of the individuals we support
  • Help individuals stay safe and healthy
  • Assist with personal care needs
  • Move and handle individuals safely
  • Support individuals with medication
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service monitoring requirements
  • Promote the wellbeing of individuals we support through a person-centered approach
  • Work as part of a team and as a 1-1, using initiative and creativity
  • Provide bespoke support to individuals with additional needs

Requirements

  • Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
  • Flexible, patient, and non-judgmental
  • A great team player with lots of energy
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to complete physical aspects of the role, such as moving and handling
