About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Turning Point, providing high-quality care and support to individuals with Learning Disabilities in our residential service.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting the independence and well-being of our residents, supporting them with daily living skills, personal care, and accessing community facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered care and support to residents, promoting their independence and autonomy
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including cleaning, cooking, and personal care
  • Support residents with medication management and appointments
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A caring and empathetic approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care and support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Basic knowledge of care planning and risk assessment, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills
