Learning Support Assistant Role

Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team at a primary school in Woolwich, South East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with learning difficulties or disabilities to access the curriculum
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to provide individualised support
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all students
  • Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
  • Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students as required
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and preparing resources

Requirements:

  • 2:1 or 1:1 from a reputable university
  • Experience with SEN/SEMH/SEND
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, reliable, and flexible with a can-do attitude
