Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Teacher to lead our team at St Sophia's Primary School in Galston. As a key member of our school community, you will be responsible for managing and leading the educational establishment to the benefit of our children and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the educational establishment to the benefit of the children and wider community
  • Comply with relevant legislation and policy and guidance issued by the Scottish Government and East Ayrshire Council
  • Assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives
  • Manage and lead a team of educators to deliver high-quality education to our students
  • Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of our students
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders, including parents, community members, and other educators, to support the educational needs of our students

Requirements

This post requires a Catholic Teaching Certificate and RC approval at HT level. You will also be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults.
