Credit Controller

Marston Holdings Limited is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactively manage credit control activities via phone, email, customer portals, or face-to-face meetings.
- Identify and contact strategic customers to ensure timely payments.
- Log all client queries and record PTPs (Promise to Pays).
- Support the accounts receivable team as required.
- Ensure accurate completion of credit requests, write-offs, and client refunds.
- Prepare for and attend external customer visits and monthly ledger reviews.
- Initiate proceedings to resolve outstanding debts and discuss problem accounts with the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control Manager.
- Collaborate with the Credit Control team to achieve individual and team targets and KPIs.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Experience with live invoicing portals.
- Confident in accounts reconciliation.
- AAT or CICM qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
- Performance driven and keen to exceed expectations.
- Proven customer service and client-facing experience.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Hybrid working arrangement: 2 days in the office, 3 days from home.
- Salary: £27,000.
- Permanent contract.
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
