Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Primary Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with autism. As a member of our supportive team, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to children with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to children with SEN, including those with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing differentiated lesson plans and adapting materials to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs).
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, with a focus on supporting children with SEN.
  • Understanding of different SEN conditions and strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about working with children with SEN.
