About the Job:
We are currently recruiting for a SEN teaching assistant to join our team at a primary school in Maidstone. As a key member of the school community, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and ensuring they reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with complex conditions.
- To work one-to-one with students, providing personalized support and developing strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
- To contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure consistent implementation of agreed goals.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with high needs, ASD, ADHD, and non-verbal communication.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
Salary: £27,500 per annum
