The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our client's mission of preserving food and the planet by offering good quality, value, and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to take ownership of the production department and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of the production department and all manufacturing operations
  • Assessing, interrogating, and implementing production schedules as provided by senior management
  • Leading shift managers effectively to deliver the production plan without compromising safety, quality, or efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with supervisors, quality, health and safety, engineering, and logistics functions to deliver agreed production goals and targets
  • Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Working Procedures, and best practices for production operations
  • Managing departmental issues and escalating to senior management as required
  • Ensuring production lines and processes are functioning efficiently and effectively
  • Managing and evaluating resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
  • Recognizing future demands and driving readiness to meet these needs
  • Working closely with the purchasing department to ensure materials are available at the point of use
  • Driving excellence and continuously striving for improvement

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years background in a manufacturing management environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A willingness to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment
  • A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the business when required
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality standards to customers
  • A high level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to implement new processes and drive performance

What We Offer:

  • An estimated salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on experience
  • A comprehensive pension scheme
