Job Summary

Advantage Healthcare Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to a young boy with complex medical needs.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of skill and expertise. You will be responsible for providing tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, medication administration, and personal care to our young client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tracheostomy care, including suctioning and cleaning the tracheostomy site
  • Administer PEG feeding, including preparing and delivering feedings
  • Administer medication, including monitoring for side effects and adjusting dosages as needed
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in childcare, including ventilation care, tracheostomy care, and PEG feeding
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of physical stamina and ability to lift and move clients as needed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
