About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated nurse practitioner to join our Acute Oncology Team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with acute oncology needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing leadership to support nursing and medical colleagues in the delivery of acute oncology care.
  • Work independently to organise and maintain a high-quality Clinical Nurse Specialist service for patients admitted acutely unwell to the trust.
  • Collaborate with the acute medical teams on both hospital sites to promote coordinated care and contribute to the delivery and evaluation of evidence-based patient care.
  • Assess the clinical and holistic needs of patients, liaise with the oncology team and the wider multidisciplinary teams across the Trust's sites to promote coordinated care.
  • Plan and organise own caseload, develop organisational and clinical skills, and participate in managing the administration associated with the service.

Person Specification:

  • NMC Level 1 Registration in Adult Nursing
