Transport Operations Manager

Yodel is seeking a skilled Transport Team Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Transport Admin Office in Hatfield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing administrative processes, driver schedules, and vehicle management to ensure compliance with driving regulations and timely trailer deliveries.
Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Shift Manager, you will assist the Transport team in achieving delivery schedules by:
- Providing administrative support, including tracking driver hours and absence, and ensuring adequate cover.
- Ensuring compliance with the scheduling system.
- Communicating effectively with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information for timely departures.
- Delivering operational and customer service key performance indicators.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Experience in a similar Transport sector role, preferably in a fast-paced office environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers and Managers.
- A good understanding of driving legislation, including operators licensing and WTD, and a CPC (desirable but not essential).
