Transport Operations Manager

Yodel is seeking a skilled Transport Team Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Transport Admin Office in Hatfield. As a key member of our Transport Team, you will be responsible for managing administrative processes, driver schedules, and vehicle management to ensure compliance with driving legislations and timely trailer deployment.
Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring delivery schedules are met. Your key tasks will include:
- Providing administrative support, ensuring accurate tracking of driver hours and absence, and arranging cover when needed.
- Ensuring the scheduling system is compliant and up-to-date.
- Communicating effectively with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information to start their shifts on time.
- Delivering operational and customer service key performance indicators.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar position within the Transport sector and a proven track record of working in a fast-paced office environment. You will be highly organized, possess excellent attention to detail, and be able to manage your workload effectively while multitasking. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as you will be working closely with drivers and managers alike.
