We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Service Care Solutions in Wigan. As a key member of our manufacturing and production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Performing fault finding, problem-solving, and planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
  2. Responding to internal customer needs to maximise production time
  3. Conducting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical jobs
  4. Working on a variety of machines, including mixing, filling, packaging, heat tunnels, boilers, compressors, conveyance systems and more
  5. Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety
  6. Participate in the inputting of the maintenance management system (CMMS)
  7. Input to and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines
  8. Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations

Requirements:

  1. Apprentice trained or a formal engineering qualification
  2. Experience as a Maintenance Engineer preferably in a production environment
  3. Experience in Mechanical & Electrical fault finding
  4. Excellent skills in planning and organisation
  5. Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
