We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hygiene Operations Manager to join our team at Everest People Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective cleaning and hygiene of our client's food processing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Lead and manage a team of cleaning staff to ensure they are properly trained and equipped to meet quality and safety targets.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source and implement effective cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cleaning processes and reduce costs.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, including schedules, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a hygiene management or similar role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, including BRC, HACCP, and COSHH.
- Knowledge of cleaning processes, chemicals, and equipment used in a food production setting.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong decision-making skills, with a focus on maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office, for managing schedules, records, and reports.
