Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker – Contextual Safeguarding Home

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at our new Contextual Safeguarding Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people who are at risk of exploitation and abuse.

About the Role:
  • Build trust and develop nurturing relationships with service users to promote their independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users.
  • Lead and support Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day duties, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Promote, monitor, and maintain a safe environment at all times, ensuring the well-being and safety of service users.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this in the required timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people, with at least 1 year's supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care setting.
  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
