About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Beams. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a pivotal role in refining our build projects, coordinating scheduling of contractors, and ensuring delivery of high-quality work to our customers within budget and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Costing and Estimation: Work with our planning and design teams to price and validate construction costs associated with our internal renovations.
  • Project Coordination: Manage a set of projects, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, reviewing build quality, addressing issues and queries on site, and managing site teams to budget, timeline, and quality requirements.
  • Cost Management: Manage and validate construction costs and requests for additional charges from ongoing projects.
  • Process Improvement: Build knowledge and expertise related to construction costs and processes, contractors, and build processes, and support sales efforts as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working as a build construction cost estimator either through prior construction or QS work.
  • Construction Stage Experience: Demonstrated construction stage experience on site in residential renovations with a focus on leading projects from their inception to their successful handover.
  • Communication Skills: Strong process-focused, strong communicator, demonstrated ability to work with end customers and contractors.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of construction methods, materials, quality standards, and regulations; ability to read design drawings, check measurements, and understand site conditions; experience in solving site issues, compiling snag lists, and managing successful handovers to project completion.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Google sheets or Excel, using formulas and developing spreadsheets.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
