Job Title: Site Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Thorn Baker Construction. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of site staff, including laborers, carpenters, and engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and construction safety regulations.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, including timelines and milestones.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project deliverables are met.
Requirements:
  • SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid at Work certifications.
  • Experience in a similar type of project, preferably with a commercial contracting specialist company.
  • Competent basic use of construction software, such as Viewpoint and Field View.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and knowledgeable of building codes and construction safety regulations.
  • Relevant qualification in Construction or CIOB membership preferred.
