We are seeking an experienced Mould Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our mould shop within our manufacturing facility. This role involves managing a team of skilled professionals, ensuring efficient production of high-quality moulds, and maintaining adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise, train, and develop mould shop personnel, including toolmakers, machinists, and technicians.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure moulds are manufactured to specification.
- Monitor and control production schedules, inventory, and resources to meet production targets.
- Implement and manage quality control processes to ensure high-quality moulds are produced.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mould shop environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of moulding processes, materials, and equipment, ideally in the electronics and electrical engineering sector but other sectors are considered.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing quality control processes.
