Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant in schools located in the Kent area. As a dedicated individual, you will provide essential support to students with varying needs, including SEMH challenges, autism spectrum condition, ADHD, and other SEND requirements.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for assisting teachers in delivering personalised lessons and adapting lesson plans to meet each student's unique needs. This may involve working in small groups or one-on-one settings, promoting confidence, independence, and academic progress.
Your Key Responsibilities- Assist teachers in developing and implementing tailored educational programs.
- Contribute to fostering an inclusive classroom environment, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring smooth transitions when the teacher is absent.
- Provide support to students with complex needs, utilising your skills and knowledge to ensure their well-being and academic success.
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (desired).
- Experience working with children in an SEN environment or as a SEN Teaching Assistant is essential.
Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Estimated Salary:£23,000 - £30,000 per annum (£110-£140 per day depending on experience)
