About the Role

Avison Young is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' accounting systems, ensuring timely processing and payment of supplier invoices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain clients' accounting systems, including invoices and purchase orders.
  • Partner with the Accounts Payable team to provide support for clients and suppliers with invoice-related queries.
  • Assist Corporate Accountants with month-end and quarter-end financial reporting tasks, including expense analysis and accrual/prepayment journals.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and reconciliations to support team decision-making.
  • Respond to and liaise with the PMA Helpdesk to resolve general queries.
  • Maintain attention to detail when updating database information.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Develop high-level IT knowledge, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Work with autonomy and minimal supervision.
