Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Day Shift Supervisor to join our team at Meatex Trading Ltd. as an Operations Lead. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food production facility during day shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of production staff to ensure compliance with company and legislative health & safety, food safety, and personal hygiene procedures and regulations.
  • Participate in training and development programs to ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with operational management to achieve or improve performance targets, including productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct team appraisals and provide on-the-job training to promote employee development and growth.
  • Ensure all required paperwork and systems are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Conduct shift handovers to ensure seamless operation across shifts.

Requirements

  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to carry out a wide range of tasks and respond to changing business needs.
  • Good knowledge of basic food hygiene and health and safety principles.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to write and communicate effectively in English.
  • IOSH Working Safely certification and Food Safety Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
