As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) by ensuring their safety, safeguarding, and well-being during their journey.

As a member of our Travel Service team, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of Children & Young People (CYP) travelling on Special Needs and Social Care Transport. This role requires a patient and calm disposition, as well as the ability to establish a rapport and build relationships with passengers and their parents and carers.

We are committed to promoting independence and supporting our Children and Young People to travel safely and independently across the town. As a Passenger Assistant, you will have the opportunity to support this work and receive full training to enable you to do so.

Experience of working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about working with young people and are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

This role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and you must be fluent in the English language as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act for the effective performance of a customer-facing role.
