Job Opportunity

Forth Ports Group, a leading port operator, is seeking a highly skilled In-house Legal Counsel to join its established Legal team based at its Head office in Leith, Edinburgh. This newly created role presents a unique opportunity to gain quality, varied exposure on a wide range of legal work.

The ideal candidate will have around 2 years PQE experience gained within private practice, or in-house, with a background in commercial law. They will report directly to the Head of Legal and work in a small, established team providing a wide range of services both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing commercially focused legal advice on commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
  • Assisting with company secretarial duties.
  • Supporting with regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Staying up to date with legislation relevant to the company and its activities.

Requirements

The company is looking for a qualified lawyer with experience in commercial/corporate law, full UK working rights, and at least 2 years PQE experience.
