About the Opportunity:

Galliford Try, a leading principal contractor, is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will work on various projects across Scotland, contributing to the company's impressive order book of over £ billion.

About the Role:

  • Produce subcontract documentation, negotiate terms and conditions, prices, and programme.
  • Manage subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management.
  • Issue commercial notices to clients and subcontractors according to the contract.
  • Manage changes in accordance with the contract, producing and submitting Compensation Event Quotations.
  • Produce and agree monthly applications with clients.
  • Liaise with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records.
  • Produce detailed 'Cost to Complete' forecasts, tracking expenditure, and utilizing Oracle-based cost analyses.
  • Interpret and evaluate expenditure reports from internal cost systems.
  • Complete monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports according to schedule.
  • Attend weekly progress and early warning meetings with clients and subcontractors.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have experience in Civil Engineering Environment, a sound knowledge of the NEC Conditions of Contract, and a professional qualification (HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent. Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Contractual and Cost Management Systems, are also essential. Good stakeholder management and communication capabilities are required, as well as knowledge of construction processes and excellent time management skills.
