We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at the Northgate Centre in Colchester. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing medical expertise and leadership to our Eating Disorders Service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive assessment and management of complex and co-morbid presentations, including eating disorder and non-eating disorder psychopathology.
- Lead in the monitoring and treatment of the physical complications of eating disorders in collaboration with other health professionals.
- Supervise the team in charge of the medical monitoring and management of high-risk patients.
- Provide psychiatric input to the development of appropriate pathways in and out of acute care settings for ED patients.
- Assess and manage risk, including vulnerability, suicide risk, risks to health and safety, and risk of harm to others.
- Registration with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register.
- CCT, CESR, or within 6 months of expected CCT date.
- Meets Royal College of Psychiatrists criteria for appointment to the post of Consultant.
