Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS Position

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical leadership to our Tier 4 team based at the St Aubyn Centre in Colchester.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat young people aged 13-18 with acute, complex, and high-risk presentations.
- Work closely with colleagues across all disciplines to review treatment progress, including medication reviews, assessments of mental states, and participation in ward reviews.
- Participate in team meetings to ensure clinical governance activities are maintained, including quality and management meetings.
- Supervise core trainees and contribute to the training of other doctors, medical students, and MDT members.
- Collaborate with colleagues to cover absences due to annual leave and study leave.

Requirements
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Registration with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register.
- Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status.
Desirable Qualifications
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- MRCPsych.
- On the Specialist Register with qualifications in General Adult Psychiatry.
