Family Support Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team in Argyll and Bute. As a key member of our social work team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families in need.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake child protection duties and conduct interviews to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
- Provide high-quality assessments and interventions for children and families, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met.
- Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring that interventions and support are tailored to their individual needs.
- Liaise with appropriate agencies to support children and families, ensuring effective and coordinated services.
- Carry out direct work with children and families, using a strengths-based approach to promote positive outcomes.
- Hold a qualification in Social Work (DipSW/CQSW or equivalent) and be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Be trained to undertake child protection interviews.
- Have experience in working with children and families in an area team setting.
- Be able to drive, with access to pool cars available for work-related travel.
£28,000 - £32,000 per annum
