About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Solent Hotel & Spa.

As a key member of our culinary brigade, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and maintaining high standards of food quality.
  • Lead a section of the kitchen, overseeing the preparation and presentation of dishes, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring they align with our brand's culinary vision.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage food costs, and implement sustainable practices to minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Work closely with the purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients, supporting our commitment to sustainability and local sourcing.
  • Contribute to the development of our culinary team, providing guidance and support to help them grow and succeed.
