Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chef to join our team at TÜV SÜD. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service in our busy commercial kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking meals for our customers, ensuring that all dishes are of the highest quality and presented to a high standard.
  • Take responsibility for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and servery area, including the cleaning of appliances and equipment.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of menus, including the ordering of ingredients and supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and productive working environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to stand for long periods of time.

Desirable Criteria

  • Food safety and hygiene certification.
  • Experience with point of sale systems and cash handling.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
