Job Summary

A highly skilled Technical Solutions Architect is required to join our team at NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) to support our ambitious plans for sharing digital records across Hertfordshire and West Essex.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical design, scoping, and drafting of functional requirements specifications for our digital care plan solution, with a focus on frailty and end-of-life care. They will also be the subject matter expert for the ICB and our partners in systems technical architecture, defining technical options and approaches.

About the Role

This is a pivotal post within our established ICS Digital Transformation function, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a high-profile project that will have a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of our population.

Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of technical specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience or training, plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.
  • Strong integration knowledge and experience, including HL7v2, batch files uploads, and on-demand API (IHE profiles, FHIR).
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle Cerner HIE or equivalent information sharing software.
  • Digital transformation knowledge and experience in an NHS and/or social care context.
  • Experience of working at strategic level, able to recognise and influence the needs of stakeholders.
