As a Field Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining existing relationships with customers in the Hertfordshire and North Hertfordshire areas.

Key Responsibilities:

* Find and develop new business via cold calling, lead follow-ups, and general customer interaction
* Support customers with the on-boarding of their new account, ensuring that they start and continue to spend
* Target dormant & lapsed accounts to reactivate them
* Develop trusted relationships with a portfolio of customers to maintain and improve profitability
* Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements, expanding relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet the customer's needs
* Work with all functions and branch teams to ensure that all opportunities are leveraged
* Comply with all EHS policies and procedures when on site

Required Skills and Experience:

* A full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
* Strong direct sales skills and commercial focus
* Current knowledge of building materials and of the current construction market would be beneficial to the role
* Proven experience in customer facing business and a proactive sales and customer focused environment delivering results.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; written, phone and face to face.
