Data Centre Shift Technician

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a skilled individual to work in a high-profile data centre environment, ensuring the reliability of critical systems and implementing innovative solutions to improve building systems and processes.

About the Job:

We are looking for a qualified Data Centre Shift Technician to join our team at R&A Consultants Ltd in Reading. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering and a valid UK driving license.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Maintenance and Optimization: Conduct preventative maintenance and optimize critical equipment to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work alongside subcontractors and other team members during planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain water systems in compliance with L8 Legionella legislation and manage site risks effectively.
Requirements and Benefits:
  • Qualifications and Experience: Technical qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering and a valid UK driving license.
  • Salary and Benefits Package: The annual salary is approximately £49,400, including a £6,000 shift allowance, plus 23 days holiday, a holiday buy scheme, gym access, and overtime available.
