Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Team Lead to join our team at Lifelancer, a leading talent-hiring platform in Life Sciences and IT. As a key member of our agile feature team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of cloud-based software applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and experience in guiding teams through the entire software development lifecycle. You will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality cloud software, driving continuous improvement within the team, and ensuring that our technology aligns with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead an agile feature team in the design, development, and delivery of cloud-based software applications.
  • Translate engineering strategy into a team-level technical roadmap and promote new technologies and best practices.
  • Drive module-level architecture and design work, considering security and performance requirements.
  • Design and implement high-quality cloud software using good development practices.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
  • Technical expertise: A solid understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Leadership skills: Strong leadership qualities, inspiring and motivating team members.
  • Communication skills: Effective communication, involving active listening, and fostering open discussions.
  • Decision-making ability: Make critical decisions affecting the project, analyze information, consider diverse perspectives, and make informed decisions.
  • Problem-solving skills: Excel in problem-solving, identifying and overcoming challenges, and fostering creativity and innovation for efficient solutions.
  • Time management and organization: Effectively manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with automated build and deployment mechanisms, techniques, and software for CI/CD (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins pipelines, Terraform, Helm).
  • Experience in two or more software development languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Typescript, React, Spring Boot).
  • Knowledge of cloud systems and cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, Snowflake, MongoDB, Oracle, JBoss).
Salary
