Job Summary
Utah State University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor to join our team. As an ESL Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and working with students to improve their English language skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans to students of varying English proficiency levels
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve language skills
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
Qualifications
- Master's degree in TESL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience teaching ESL to adult learners
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Working Conditions
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
